- Reduced admission rates to all Club and Gild functions, including Saturday dinners, concerts and theater.
- Reduced rentals for Gild Hall facilities.
- Participation as a voting member of the Club and Gild.
- Subscription to our monthly Arden Club Calendar mailed to you to keep you informed of activities and special events.
- Privilege to hold office in the Club or a Gild.
- These privileges and discounts apply only to Club members and do not extend to their guests; that is, members get reduced admission to an event but not their guests. Family memberships are available and include everyone in a family living at one address.
- Board meetings of The Arden Club, Inc. are held the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in Lower Gild Hall. Minutes are available upon request from the Club Secretary.
Enjoy Tax Deductions
The Arden Club is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As a result, many contributions to the Arden Club are tax deductible to the donor.
The following qualify for federal tax deductions:
- Arden Club membership dues.
- Expenses incurred for the Arden Club or any Gild except the Swim Gild. Contributions to the Swim Gild, except for Arden Club dues, are not tax deductible. The Swim Gild currently doesn't qualify as a 501(c)(3) organization.
- Automobile mileage.
- Out of pocket expenses -- mail, phone, supplies, etc. -- but there is no deduction for your time.
- Cash donations to the Arden Club.
- Non-cash contributions to the Arden Club at fair market value such as equipment, materials and books.
- The value of any material benefits to the donor received as a result of a donation should be subtracted from any deduction.
- Consult your tax preparer to see exactly what is deductible.

(While outright contributions such as membership fees are tax-deductible, money spent on concert tickets, meals, etc. are not tax-deductible since the money is given in exchange for goods or services.)

Basic membership fees as of 1/23/2009 are:
- $20 per year for adults,
ages 18 through 64; - $15 per year for those
over 64 years old; - $7 per year for
ages 3 through 17; - $50 for an entire family including parents and children residing in the household;
- $50 and more for special Pathway memberships (details below).
Send checks, payable to "The Arden Club, Inc." to 2126 The Highway, Arden, DE 19810-4059. Membership is valid for 12 months from the time you sign up; it is not related to the calendar year.

The Arden Club is pleased to offer several additional ways to contribute to our organizations. Beyond basic club membership, we are pleased to offer Pathways Patrons options. With the Pathways program, contributors receive all the benefits of basic membership plus many enhancements. Best of all, these tax-deductible contributions allow the Arden Club to continue to grow and make available the unique events for which we are known. *Everyone who contributes as a Pathways Patron is entered in a drawing which is conducted annually at the November Arden Club Executive Board meeting. The winner receives additional Arden Club benefits which may be redeemed from January 1 through December 31 of the following year.
