The 2025 Arden Fair was a big success!
Special thanks to the Hanby YMCA Outdoor Center!
The Arden Club wishes to give a special thanks to the folks at the Hanby Brandywine YMCA Outdoor Center for giving us permission to use their facilities for Fair parking.
Innumerable thanks and kudos to everyone volunteering for the 117th Arden Fair!
Held on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, the Fair was a lovely success. The weather was beautiful- sunny, dry, and not too hot. Attendance appeared to be greater than in other years.
Planning for the Fair begins in June with an initial meeting of the Gild Leaders, Arden Club Board members, and staff of the Club to shore up assignments. Follow-up meetings and numerous contacts among the organizers precede the actual event. Volunteers are garnered throughout the summer, and right up to the day of the Fair, if necessary.
Come back here soon to see a list of all the incredible volunteers that make this event come alive!
Congratulations on a wonderful 2026 Arden Fair.
You are so appreciated by the Arden Club Board!

The 116th Arden Fair was a Great Success!
to the Arden Fair!
The 117th Arden Fair - August 30st, 2025
Every year the Arden Fair and Antiques Market is held on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. The Fair features children's games and rides, handmade crafts by over 100 vendors (many of whom are local), an Antiques Market, used books (inside Gild Hall), plants, live music in the Shady Grove, delicious food and drink, an art exhibit, and more.
The Arden Club is a non-profit organization. Proceeds from the Fair help maintain the Arden Gild Hall, where the public can enjoy concerts, musicals, plays, dances, Saturday evening dinners, and programs throughout the year.
Most of the event is held outdoors, featuring macadam, grassy hills and knolls, as well as the Shady Grove. There are also two indoor exhibit venues: Gild Hall and the Buzz Ware Village Center. There is a Food Court. Additionally, food and refreshments are available for purchase in Shady Grove, along with free live music throughout the day.
Friendly pets are welcome but the owners need to be aware that they are responsible for the cleanup of their pets. Pets must be on a leash at all times. The Fair has many tantalizing smells and sights – which could prove very stressful to dogs. No dogs are allowed on shuttle buses except guide dogs (a.k.a. "seeing-eye" dogs).
SHUTTLE BUS PARKING
There is plenty of free parking at the YMCA Hanby Outdoor Center with shuttle buses every few minutes. Location: Parking for shuttle buses is on Chestnut Road, between Marsh and Darley Roads, just north of Arden. NOTE: No dogs are allowed on shuttle buses except guide dogs (a.k.a. "seeing-eye" dogs). Handicapped guests may be dropped off at the Orleans bus stop but all cars must be parked off-site. See the Handicap Drop-off map.
PLEASE BE KIND TO OUR NEIGHBORS!
Arden, Ardentown, and Ardencroft (collectively 'the Ardens') is a residential neighborhood. Parking on the streets of the Ardens is strongly discouraged so it's best to use the YMCA Hanby Outdoor Center. Fairgoers have been known to park on March Road and other local roads outside of the Ardens. Many Fairgoers use Uber or Lyft thereby avoiding parking problems (taking one of the services also lets you fully enjoy the Shady Grove beer garden wink-wink).

Innumerable thanks and kudos to everyone volunteering for the 115th Arden Fair!
Held on Saturday, August 31st, the Fair was a smashing success. The weather was beautiful- sunny, dry, and just the right temperature- and attendance was amazing.
The 116th Arden Fair was run like a well-oiled machine due to the dedication and work of so many volunteers. Attendance was diverse and the highest ever. It seems social media played a role as a "clarion call" inviting volunteers and drawing visitors. Good job to all who helped make it a successful day!
We're gathering names of the army of volunteers that helped make the Fair a success and we'll post them here soon.
