Summer Show

Mark your calendars. Save the date. HAMLET! That play you had to read in high school, Shakespeare’s longest play, famous speeches that used words like “fardels” and “contumely” and “bodkin”. Why should you come to see The Arden Shakespeare Gild’s production of this iconic play?

There is a reason why this play has been in continuous performance for over 400 years!! It is a story of loss, revenge, love, avarice, and high drama. Our production reduces the cumbersome length of the original text and brings you the core story - the compelling tale of a young prince thrown into the midst of palace intrigue and confusion. A prince who has intelligence and wit and courage and must find his way to a final tragic resolution.

A “must see” in 2024. Performance dates are June 14, 15, 16 (matinee) 20, 21, 22. Evening performances are at 7:30 PM at the Field Theater in Arden, with indoor shows at the Arden Gild Hall in the event of rain.
To make reservations, please email us at ardenshakes@gmail.com with your name, the date, and the number of tickets you would like to reserve.

Also, the Young Actors Workshop children (Ages 5-11) will reprise Shakespeare in a Nutshell, on April 27th at the Shakespeare-themed dinner at the Gild Hall. Kids eat free and parents can request a kid-friendly meal.
