Join Us for an Informal “Stitch & Share” Session!
Last month, the Arts & Crafts Gild kicked off with a fantastic celebration—complete with cake, origami, and an inspiring idea session that will shape our future programming. While we sort through those ideas and build our event calendar, we’re taking this month to host a laid-back, creative gathering—with more opportunities to give input into the newest gild.
Do you enjoy needlework—knitting, tatting, crochet, handweaving, rug work, sewing, quilting? Bring your project and join us for a relaxed “Stitch & Share” session in the Lower Gild Hall on Wednesday, March 19
We’re also taking it a step further: this will be a chance to showcase past projects you’re especially proud of! We’ll set aside time for anyone who’d like to share their work. And if you simply love seeing handcrafted pieces by local artists, come be inspired—even if you don’t stitch yourself. This is an all-ages event. Youth are welcome (ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult). Since this is only the second meeting of the Arts & Crafts Gild, we’re still gathering ideas for future programming. If you have suggestions for workshops, field trips, or other creative events, this is another great chance to share your input! Are you a complete newbie but curious about knitting or crochet? Bring a ball of yarn and some needles! While this isn’t a formal class, plenty of experienced needleworkers will be on hand, and with the generous creative spirit of the Ardens, you’re sure to pick up some tips.
The Arts & Crafts Gild is being led by Megan King, Jeanne Orr, and Jill Althouse-Wood, and we are looking for others to join the leadership team. If you’re interested in helping shape this exciting new chapter for the Arden Club, we’d love to hear from you!

We can’t wait to see what we’ll create together—see you there!
